My True Love is about the kind of love that isn’t loud — but lasts anyway.
Not the cinematic, fireworks version… but the stitched-together, road-trip, make-you-coffee-in-the-morning, stand-beside-you-when-things-get-messy kind. The kind that evolves. The kind that becomes a landscape you live inside over time.
The long, horizontal format reads like a timeline — or perhaps a shared path — stretching across seasons, moods, and moments. There’s no single focal point because true love is rarely about one grand gesture. Instead, it’s built from a constellation of small, overlapping experiences that gather weight as they accumulate.
The rounded, interlocking shapes move like conversations — sometimes bumping, sometimes blending, sometimes leaving space. Larger forms anchor the composition like shared values or quiet commitments, while smaller, brighter shapes feel like spontaneous laughter or unexpected tenderness. Nothing exists alone; each element leans into another, held in place by proximity and trust.
Colour becomes the emotional language of devotion.
Warm corals, soft pinks, and glowing oranges suggest intimacy and familiarity — the comfort of being known. Cool aquas, lavenders, and muted greys temper the sweetness with perspective, patience, and calm. The translucent layering allows earlier colours to remain present beneath the surface, echoing the way shared history quietly supports what’s happening now.
There are tensions here — edges that don’t quite align — but they resolve through rhythm rather than force.
In My True Love, love is not a perfect symmetry. It’s a beautiful negotiation… mapped over time, side by side, in colour.
